Unlocking door with key

Hi guys, finally fixed a problem I have had with the car since I bought it. The DIS would never show that the driver's door was open. After changing the door lock and trying a second hand CCM, it turned out to be one of cable crimps in the loom by side of the driver's seat. So that fixed, my question is that when I unlock the driver's door with the key, it only unlocks the driver's door. Is this normal? Or have I got another wiring fault? Thanks

Pretty sure mine unlocks all. Also it doesn't disarm the alarm until you put the key into the ignition.

Actually thinking about it there are quite a few settings you can change and there is one called Selective Door Locking which only locks one door. Might be the same for unlocking. ]

You will need VCDS to check it though.

Normal I'd say, that's exactly what my S8 does and the remote unlocks all the doors. Didn't used to, I changed it with VCDS.

I've just had to use the key for a week or so on my 6 and it was the same. Key only unlocks drivers door and you have to put the key in the ignition to disarm the alarm. Other doors would only open using the button on the drivers door.

All fixed now though (thanks again Carl)
