Side lights on permanent

Post by Whitey33 » Fri Mar 20, 2015 11:42 pm

Hi all, the off side side lights on my c5 are on all the time, is this a symptom of some thing specific , or just a random fault? Cheers .

Have you left the indicator stalk up / down?

Haha, nice one! ....... No, I haven't left the stalk up, the only way to turn the lights off is to disconnect the battery, I've had to take the front bulb out to stop it draining the battery, it's probably a random fault, I was hoping someone had experienced it before.

You need Ross-Tech with this car. Just scan and you should have an answer, some sensor or maybe bad stalk? First you said side, then front, is it just the little side blinkers?

Hazard light switch unit is my guess. It's the hazard light switch but also controls the indicators. £50 part from dealer and an easy DIY fit on driveway.

Sorry I've just read that again - Doh! I thought the OP said the indicators were stuck on. Ignore that last comment if you've not already done so.
