I doubt it but I'll have a look. I bought the old pads from Stoke Audi so I hope they were right considering what I paid for them!!sweegie wrote:Curious... All the Pagid RS series pads (Pagid performance pads are branded as RS) use the brass pins as a retention mechanism between the backing plate and the friction material. These pads direct from Pagid, are about twice the price of what we're buying from Audi. Do you still have the box and part number that your pads came in?seaneb wrote: I changed my front breaks about a month ago. Front pads (from Audi) were down to 3mm. No sign of any brass studs.

The OE pads are good. Haven't heard of an issue with the brass studs for a loooong time. Maybe they changed their composition.

Looks like I threw out the old pads and box-not surprising really as it was a month or 6 weeks ago. They were just over £300 IIRC. I was very pleased with their performance which is why I bought more of the same.
