Guys i love my C5 and it has been very reliable but lets be serious.

Not only is the C6 a later model meaning more up to date in every way from the creature comforts to the suspension but it also addressed all the C5's weaknesses (of which there are many).

The V10 engine comes from a Lambo.Lets be serious- it sounds amazing. No it is not a V8 but it sounds like an F1 car.
And to my knowledge no gear boxes have let go despite routinely having over 900NM of torque put through them.Oh yes, onto mapping.Just a stage 1 from MRC allows over 700bhp (and i am being conservative). There is no way a C5 can live with that.

Onto the styling- yes you have got me.It doesn't look as good but IMO the C5 is starting to look dated and a black C6 with the chrome deleted to black looks pretty nice to me.

Don't get me wrong, buying a sorted C5 in the sub 15K bracket is still pretty unbeatable in terms of performance and comfort for the money but going north of 15K it is not much of a stretch to a C6 and they are better cars,no doubt.

Of course the new V8 is another step forward but it going to be quite some time before we see them at 25-30K.

IMO the C5 looks wayyy better than the C6. And the C6 has more weight even further forward so more understeer.
To be honest I'll never be interested in owning a C6. In about 5-6 years time I would like a C7 when the prices start dropping.

If I won the lottery the C5 would have a home for life in a nice warm garage.

Cue BamBam with his mental C5's, although they've had a lot of money spent on them to be fair.

C6.... Simply lacking the visceral desire of the C5 or the panache of the C7.

My view ! If you took the v10 out of the c6 what have you got, a plastic jelly mold, I like em but it has the stigma of the lancia thema 8.32 <beep> looking car nice engine

It's why I'm after a c5 again old and retro looking

C6 loon looks better than C5 loon.
C5 avant looks waaaaay better than C6 avant.
The C6 does have a great sound track. Amars sounded pretty sweet when we were having a blast at ADI last year.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

There's only One thing better than the sound of a V8..............( Clarkson pause for effect) .....................and that's a V12 :jump_clap:

Even the man himself never mentions a V10 :assflash:

C5 beats C6 'anytime'.

I've had my C5 11 years, and it's just nudging 60,000 miles.

I bought my C6 in October 2009 & only kept it 6 months. Quick yes .. but dull to drive & not the original RS6.

C5 wins every time ! .. looks, fun, real Q car & style.
