Post by lapman » Thu Jul 03, 2014 8:08 pm

hello,
Just got the wheels back from a refurb and noticed the tool for removing the plastic wheel nut covers is missing. What else is missing

attached a picture of the tool kit and car, not cleaned properly but going well.

Your missing the electric air pump and screw driver by the looks of it.

If you're going to be picky, you best check the date on your tyre goo. It'll most likely be out-dated.

Then throw it away and replace with a chocolate teapot, it'll be about as much use.

If the tyre goo is a load of poo, what do people recommend using? I shall be heading down to the Alps in a few weeks so want to be prepared in case I get a puncture.

A spare tyre on a rim if you can get one in! I gad a puncture in my C6 in the middle of France on a Friday afternoon. Ball ache.

I think there's supposed to be a little spanner in there too. I'll check mine later.

You got your locking wheel nut key?

Spanner is a 10/13mm one. God knows what you need it for though.

Yeah, you're right, I think there was a little spanner. His locking key is present though.
I haven't seen one of these for a while, I've not lifted the boot cover in the 'loon for a very long time. The avant just has a dirty big 7.5L meth tank where the tool set used to be.

yep 03/2007 well past it's best....

I had a look for a chocolate teapot as well, going to Halfords to pick one up.

There is also a back plastic thing with a thread at one end and a small at the other. Any idea what that is for?

Halfrauds has gots loads of things just as useless as chocolate teapots. Glass drum kits on special offer, too.
