Yep, that's my thinking too. I ported across the N249 settings from the 2.7 RS4 to start with and that helped a lot. It uses quite different thresholds for operating the N249 valve, presumably to interact with the stronger spring pressure.

It still honks (which annoys me greatly) and I'm unconvinced the 710N valve offers any benefits what so ever, over the 710P's.

Just had a look at some old invoices and 710N's were put on my car when it was last serviced. Given that I am getting the same noise as a few people on here, are the 710Ps just a straight swap ? Might be worth trying ..
I am assuming these numbers relate to the last bit of part numbers ?

Yep, on both counts. It's a straight swap back to the original 710P's and the P/N is the final sequence of the 06A 145 710P part number :)

Forged DV's fitted by Grizz many moons ago , mapped by QST to 502bhp at the time
Now : XFR Jag 5.0 Supercharged

Used to have : C5 Daytona Avant , silver leather , carbon inserts ; RNSE, TV in motion, Bluetooth , well filled SD card slots ; PSS9's ; Hotchkiss ARB's ; Miltek cat back res ; Wagner intercoolers ; Phaeton brake ducts ; forge DV's ;

MTM stage 1 , 725Kn torques and 502 bhp , just checked rolling road read out ;-)
