Yeah, they'll be antiques by the time they make an entrance.

Car has been fully paint depth checked. One main panel had had a couple blow overs but no filler so either keyed or bad stone chips been covered up a couple times. Almost every other panel has had a blow over at one point or another but all is now in check. All panels have now been taken to the same average depth and the bad panel was taken back down to bare metal and built back up to the same depth as the rest and a pre primer primer has been dusted over....
Would you mind letting me know the estimated cost of this entire prep work and the full respray?

It crept up during the job tbh, when I counted up the final bill I had heart failure. The box dying within 3 days wasnt part of the plan. In hand now though. Spare rs6 turbos bought and soon to go for hybridisation, car goes in for remedial paintwork tomorrow night and then it should be away to unit20/mrc then its just the interior fiasco to sort and the car will be almost exactly as I want it....

Booked in for box fix finally. Got it back from the paintshop and all is good although I still have the headlight level warning coming up and he's (the painter) had a chat with an audi tech and that could be because the car is lowered....although it was fine the two months beforehand :?

And still fk all word about the interior.....

It's a common problem. Talk to Audi and it's an expensive fix, talk to MRC and it's a £10 part. It shouldn't matter if it's reasonably lowered.

Why would it appear after running fine for over two months lowered though? And the car goes into unit 20 next week but will be at mrc afterwardsrfor mapping probably so will be sorted out at somepoint...

The front-end/front lights came off, right? There's an assembly in the front wing, it's a weird switch or sommit that fails. Speak to Doug, he'll point out which parts are required, he's done a billion of them.
