Marvelous thanks. I take it that bit still rotates so needs a little greasing?

Well, not a fantastic fix really, is it. But, if it does the job.

Proper replacement bushing has got to be the best way, but the pedal box is a proper faff to get out so sometimes a Heath Robinson half measure is good enough.

I could understand an owner doing it, but not ........
Hopefully get mine stripped at the end of the year and source some bushes.

I'd be looking to put some bearings in there if possible. It's not easy to see how it's set out from the photos but obviously the original bushing isn't up to the job.

Did mine quickly last night. Wasn't too hard but I'm not 100% sure its the solution I want. My outer bush seemed to be the one with the most movement but couldn't figure out how to dismantle the pedal - think it might just be a massive bolt all the way through the pivot.

Anyway. All seems to be working ok. Vibration has definately gone.

To anyone wanting to have a go at it:
- 2 x 8mm bolts underneath the cowling
- remove side dash panel (pulls off)
- 1 x 8mm bolt visible through the hole
- remove dash top cover (pulls off), just above the steering column
- 2 x 8mm bolts either side of the steering column
- Bottom panel drops out. Unclip lower light and ODB port to remove panel completely.

I did mine, and it's stopped the vibration, with regards to movement, the bar only moves about a quarter of a turn for the brake pedal, and the cable ties move with it,

I'll keep an eye and see how long it holds up, but for a freebie I'm very happy with it, for a perm Fix then Unit20 can fit a replacement washer.

Just to add to this, MRC worked their cable tie magic on the + last week and it's pretty much eliminated the vibrations.

Much happier now. :beerchug:

They are cable ties mate, if they fail after 3 months you just put some more on. Cost you around £2.

Yeah I get that bud cheers. Just wanted to know if people have found they have lasted well or if the fail after 3 months. If they fail quickly I will look to rebush it rather than tie it
