Passenger Seat Electric Adjustment Partial Fail

Post by saulcupra » Fri May 09, 2014 11:00 am

Hi All :bigwave:

I tried to adjust the electric passenger seat forward this morning, with no joy, not even a hum from the motor, it also wont go back either.

However, the electric backrest, height adjust and lumbar support all work fine.

Im puzzled, is there a motor for each moving part, or is it all geared to one?

Anyone else had a similar issue?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge!

:beerchug:

There are different motors for each movement. Have you done anything under the seat recently? If so it could just be a connector that's popped out as your not getting a noise.

On my drivers seat I get this occasionally. I think the electric switch is just dirty. I will eventually get around to spraying electrical cleaner in it if I can get it taken to bits. As far as I know Audi will only sell the whole side panel of the seat including the circuit board and switches as one part.
