finally got the 6 back

Post by steely66 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 8:46 pm

Been missing for 4 weeks while it's had a fair bit of work done. Cambelt and the usual other bits associated, new rad as it was blocked and falling apart. New lambda sensors as the engine was partially out, coolant sensor and a couple of new headlights as I hated the stone chipped ones. The parts unfortunately were on back order from Audi hence the wait so I've been driving about in a charming VW Passat, albeit slowly.

Forgotten how much I loved driving the 6, got that first drive moment again today, truly awesome. Funnily enough while it was away I was thinking about what I'd drive next and even with 20k there's nothing else I'd want or realistically afford.

Have to say what an event seeing the car in bits, definitely only for the capable thats for sure.

Also the reason it went in was because the fans were running over and getting progressively noisier and staying on longer after the engine was off. This was down to the knackered rad and the sensor.

All sorted!
