Yeah was gonna go for £12- 13k Just had new pads discs front tyres fuel pump plus I have spent lots on it, always serviced etc. Guess 62K miles is considered low as well.

I would say 65k is considered low now. Put it up for want you want for it, it will either sell or it won't mate.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

62K miles is low for an '04......but, as we all know from this forum, it ain't going to guarantee that the 'box won't self destruct anytime soon.
Not trying to be the naysayer but I'd reckon £10.5 is realistic, depends on any buyer knowing what potential money pits these beasts are.

I think the prices have plateau'd out for good examples. The skips will soon disappear and we'll start to see prices of the good ones creeping up. Cf RS2, RS4 B5.

yep, prices over here in Neanderthal land are getting higher, especially the RS4B5, good examples with low mileage are going for around 24.000 euros...
But the RS4B5 is more rare (less made, around 6000 build or something...and alot have been set on fire/crashed by dickheads...) and therefore more expensive.

yes......but both with a strong manual box that is highly unlikely to eat itself so making for a less risky purchase.

Unfortunately, no-one on here seems to have solved the mystery that surrounds the 5HP24A 'box; why some last for 150K plus and others go pop at a quarter of that so the mileage of the vehicle can't really be correlated to a good example, I don't think it matters a lot if any RS6 is clearly a skip or not, you've still got to be aware of a potential £3500+ outlay on top of the purchase price and this will dent any purchasers confidence (if they realise of course, I'm sure most do)

I think it'll be a long time yet before we see values levelling off; obviously, if the vehicle has had a new box fitted recently and it's in excellent overall condition then it's worth a hell of a lot more than just a low mileage example IMO

Real shame if it's got to go, esp if you've just forked out 2K......

We all have different circumstances & I'm sure you've done the maths but an RS6 is a fine way to travel to work I find :kissmyrings:
