Remap or not to Remap, that is the question :-)
Hey Guys,
My car is currently having a big service with QST right now and I am trying to work out if its a good idea. Apart from getting it past the Mrs I would love to hear from someone who has had a remap + gearbox who could give me there personal thoughts.
FYI my car is standard and the remap would be an MTM one.
Thanks guys, appreciate your time.

What was the feeling like? apart from <beep> thats fast lol

Torque torque and more torque. Also the fact that you have complete control over gear changes with the map, make you feel like your driving a manual.
Seriously, it should be the single most important mod for any RS6 owner.
2nd gear will push you back in your seat just nice

Not to mention the fact that there ain't much on the road in everyday situations that would touch a mapped RS6.

I have the mapped MTM RS6 and the torque is unbelievable. 830Nm at the mo (612lb/ft). As mentioned previously, there's nothing on the road could touch it for acceleration.

The one thing to consider is the consequence on other parts of the car. Do you have a warranty? Slush Fund? Do you regularly service the gearbox? Extra torque is great as a sensory experience but the gearbox/clutch may not share your enthusiasm!
My car is completely standard but I purchased an inchcape audi warranty(3 yrs) with the vehicle and really don't have the time/inclination to argue with them. Yes its intoxicating but remember there could be a consequence that isn't palatable.
She may be big and heavy but its whats on the inside that counts.....
