Too much effort at my age!!!!!

And the point of DRL's is that you don't have to remember to turn them on!

I'll do the mod and let you know!

I must have misunderstood then. I thought in the above mod you still have to turn the fogs on manually.

No, don't do it. I have some nice LED sides and they look smart enough if you want that effect - and besides plod will probably tug you.

I've used my HID fogs as DRL's from day one. A very simple Mod which I believe to be a great safety feature. It greatly improves your visibility to other drivers. In other words you are much more readily seen at a greater distance and will not go unnoticed, which to me greatly reduces the chance of you getting into an accident with some one who didn't see you coming. I also make sure they are Aimed as low as possible so as not to blind oncoming drivers. And besides It gives the car a very intimidating look also, when this beast approaches from behind you will move out of the way..............

Hid as fogs is something that I thought of doing on my RS6 as soon as I realised that I have a spare kit that will fit straight in

I run with my headlights on all of the time but would prefer to have hid fogs.

I have a list of things to do the next time the bumper is off, this list is getting longer!

DRL's are now mandatory on all post 2011 cars in UK - so definitely not illegal. There are no specific requirements on placement, only a general requirement that they must not dazzle oncoming traffic - if properly adjusted then fogs shouldn't do that.

Parts for mod ordered!

I might post pics - if I can face the oncoming abuse!! :beerchug:

Bluish tint is camera related, they are actually White (6000K) as shown in the other picture. Also in Canada DRL's are standard on all RS6's sold there..............
