Broken

Post by deanflyer » Sun Jun 02, 2013 12:07 pm

Stuck in Manchster, looks like ATF fluid is leaking from car through undertray. Only good news is its not too far from Unit 20.

Martin,

If youre reading this its on its way on a low loader (again). Probably arrive tomorrow.

Oh man that sucks big time,

The only consolation is that the car is going to the right place!

Do you have a warranty at all?

Spoke to Martin today, corroded oil cooler pipes, guess it could have been a lot worse. Audi UK have no stock, so parts on back order.

Guess i'll now be travelling by Skoda Superb for a bit (local taxi company) .

If Audi end up without stock long term, you should be able to have the originals copied by a hydraulics company.

I've recently made up my own power steering pipes (steel hard lines) on another vehicle which is rear engined. The hard lines are NLA from VW so the options are flexible pipes front to rear (expensive) or buy some steel tube, tig the ends on and with a couple of carefully positioned bends... I'm back in business.

It would be nice if there was an aftermarket option for the combined oil / ATF cooler.
