What was the outcome? Is it all sorted?
PREVIOUS: Black Audi B6 S4 Avant. Custom exhaust (sounded amazing). Otherwise standard and near perfect.
PRESENT: Muggy '53 RS6 loon. MTM Stage2. KW3s. 100 cells. Milltek.

Yep - still got that bad boy for track use :nodder:

Fault in end was fuel pump relay - so no biggy thankfully.

Thought I recognised the name. How is your Saab these days? Mine is still layed up, waiting on the turbo upgrade and filathome's 2 year old group buy dekkas to migrate from my shelf to the car..... Funnily enough I did come across all my BDM and CAN tuning kit the other day though, covered in dust!

Glad your Audi is fixed too. How you finding it compared to the Saab? I kind of miss that old school zero to hero lag ;)

Ah - more ex SAAB boys! I ran a 99 2Dr Turbo (with water injection) back in the early 80's, and three 9000 Carlsson/Aero's in the 90's. Brilliant fun - and yes just sometimes I do miss the lag (especially the 2 stage lag of the 99 with WI) - but then I get real and realise just how far we have come!

Yep, I turned into a Saab nut by complete accident and cant seem to part with the car even though it's been parked up for about a year now! Would love an old school 99 turbo, but my 900 shape 9-3 is still old school enough to be a proper Saab I recon ;)

It's a stage 3 car & the one that taught me how to map things, so have sentimental attachment! Have all the required hardware for around 350Bhp, but alas no time to fettle it at the moment. Some damn Audi keeps distracting me :D

Saab fan here too.
I had a 1980 99T with WI as well then a C900T 16S, 9000CSE 2.3T AND 3 9-5'S SO FAR.
I fancy an old 99T or C900T at some point again.

2Dr or 3Dr?? I had the 2Dr and spent 6 month wandering up and down Piccadilly before I finally committed myself!

Snap! Mine was a replacement for my RS2000 (Mk2) also in red. It took a little while to get used to reverting to the handling of an overgrown Mini after the tail happy life in an Escort, but as you say, it was amazingly quick, especially once you mastered the turbo lag - Ah those were the days!

That was only half the story! Floor it count to 2 then yeehaa, then wait another second for the WI to spool up, and Yeehaa 2!!

The art was to time all that so that yeehaa 1 was at the apex of a corner and yeehaa2 at the exit!

Drove mine for 3 years in Norway - the winter performance was electrifying!

I've never owned a Saab, but my old Nissan turbo was like that, you knew the turbo was coming, just didn't know when!
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!
