RS6 plus 2004 but with newer front grill ?
Re: RS6 plus 2004 but with newer front grill ?
Imacool - thks for the lowdown on the German car , I hate these no svc record cars and Spain is full of it. Would it put you off buying it or do you I should wait for one with history ? The european lhd cars are usually more expensive , like the 19k euro car I linked though has full history book and might drop to 17500euro. Still it has some scratches on the rear panel and bumber apparently (awaiting fotos).

If you really want that german registered car from autotrader, then this is my advice:merak2012 wrote:Imacool - thks for the lowdown on the German car , I hate these no svc record cars and Spain is full of it. 1. Get there, drive it, see if you like it. Apart from cosmetic issues the car looks nice, still smells like new one. If you want it, try to negotiate a good price, given that the car is sitting there since February the dealer may be willing to drop the price.
2. Drive it straight to the MRC tunning centre in Banbury, well known Audi RS specialist (about 20 miles from the dealer) to get a health check.
3. If you are lucky it will be just the cambelt change, gearbox fluid change, 20000miles service and Bilsteins PSS9 coilovers to swap with dreaded DRC system (which I think the car is still on), approx £3500-£3700. I guess 2 days affair, to be confirmed by MRC (ask for Doug Bennet, he is an rs246 member as well).
4. If the health check shows something else, then it might be more than the figure above. I guess some suspension arms may be gone, bearings, the gearbox may be leaking, etc... When I bought mine, one wheel alloy was buckled and the lower suspension arm on the front driver side was split. You never know until a specialist checks the car.
5. Whatever you do, I wish you a good luck !
Any more info or help you want, no problem, just post here.

They say it has 482cv , 4.2 tturbo , was this type of new style grill fitted on the lst of the the c5 models? Its for sale on the following link and i am interested apart from the scared to death about running costs .

seems expensive too compared with UK prices in general , also saw a 2002 model in Madrid but older grill and perhaps not as interesting , link also below

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated , long time since I had the S2 and imagine this is possibly a big step up .
Cheers

Faaark, I've only just looked at the car. That front-end is a gopping mess, it says it's a plus too, whoever did that deserves anal cancer.
