Should I have the cambelt and misc changed now?

Post by Mr Footlong » Tue May 22, 2012 12:39 pm

Hi guys

Due to thoroughly "enjoying" my car, I am seriously considering getting the cambelt changed. The beast has only done about 17k on the currenty belt which was replaced 4 years ago but it doesn't look like any of the other warning bits were done at the same time.

The alternator was replaced in Oct 09 at 48k so only 11k old now.

From those in the know on here, what should I get swapped out while the front is off (Wagners are highly likely, thinking more about the normal parts)? I have attached the 2 receipts showing what has been done and when regarding this topic. She is just about on 59k now if memory serves.

Also, looking at getting the rocker seals replaced as they are weeping slightly, I guess that would be sensible while MRC are at it.

Thanks,

Nick :)

8 x M8 x 25 crank shaft pulley socket head cap screws (old ones had rusted heads)

Idler pulley for aux belt (bottom right)
