Yes I believe it is. I am all for carbon bonnets when they look right or are a genuine improvement on a car, for weight reasons etc but on that one, with the blue hoses (really trying to draw too much attention to the centre FMIC), just no. WOuld be interested to see what it would have looked like with black hoses and a normal bonnet though. Reminds me strongly of a Hyperflow FMIC but there are tons out there that look similar.

wasnt there a heavily modded, c5 RS6 that went FMIC and space gained, used custom tubes(a la DBR/Apikol) that extended down in front of the front passenger wheels, hence away from manifolds?
Btw, since I have a complete Dahlback stage 3 RS6(but running a stock airbox with K&N's, long story)...I just ordered a remote hi temp thermostat. I will re install the DBR CAI and tape the collection wire to the underside of the ring that holds the cone filter between tube and front airscoop. It doesnt datalog, but I will get engine nice and hot, video temp reading, then go for a spirited run and video read out. This way as the dahlback rep in sweden claimed, "car at speed, moves the air ...we have raced this set up, heat soak is not an issue." I for one am not sold on that theory. My car feels same w/ either set up on the car.
IAT's well i could do that as well, but when I WOT, my stage 3 meth kit kicks in, and IAT's drop dramatically... :bigblink:

Paul's manual RS6 has FMIC and looks much more discrete. It's for sale in the classified. 778PS anyone?

Sure someone will disagree with me but when I saw that advert I thought could he be helping himself any less with it?????? If you have built a nutty spec RS6 then put in the effort to actually give some proper details in the ad and get people salivating. Every single one of my decent cars that I put up for sale I went in to huge detail about and sold all of them in no time at all, all to the first people that came to see them, for the price I wanted.

For example, I sold the Jaaag in under 48 hours, for asking price, when no XJR's seem to be selling. Make the effort, sheesh...... Don't even start me on the interest I had for Fluffy based on the ad I made.......

Just my opinion, rant over.

Yeah, it's odd isn't it? And yet he's gone into detail about it elswehere:

http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=90166

Maybe he doesn't really want to sell it. He's basically selling the whole car for less than the price of the mods :(

Weird, all he would have to do is ctrl+c ctrl+v that for a bit of an improvement at least. Not putting up pics is mad to me. I do sit back and think sometimes about the thousands and thousands and thousands I have lost selling cars that I have spent a fortune modding/perfecting yet what am I doing now? ;). The usual general golden rule applies that you don't get the money back for modding.
