Fixed. PAS pipe came off and emptied itself, it's been secured two-fold.

After driving more than 40miles without PAS, I just about torn the wheel clean off the steering column when I went to manoeuvre out of the AmD carpark.

No, I was getting a few thing lined up for the new year. All shall be revealed in due time.
I had zero intentions of going to AmD but they were the closest specialist to where I at the time of PAS failure, well you didn't think I was going to take it to a stealer, did you?
AmD were very professional and quick, two hours labour and some coins for PAS oil. Done.

I'm pretty sure it was £60 + VAT. The webshite says so IIRC, I didn't know there were others, I only knew about the Essex branch.

I have used Amd Essex for the last 2 services (inc gearbox oil), cambelt, brakes and remap. They have been reasonable price wise, and the only thing I had to go back for (I was on the way to Folkestone anyway so no hassle) was resetting the service interval after the last service.

I would recommend them, although I will probably try 4 rings next time if they come to my house.

I may be a little late to the thread, but it sounds to me like there was no shortage of 'special fluid' flying around that day. Might have made your steering a bit sticky though.

Glad it didn't require a re-mortgage to repair.

Glad we could help and got the car sorted for you. Was very amusing when we sent Ian out to drive your car into the workshop, he didn't know the PAS wasn't working! Gave him a nice little work out!

Those other "places" are not to be associtated with us AmD Essex in any way. If you want to come to the home of AmD and the base of our BTCC team you will need to come and visit us in Essex or look very carefully into where you are possibly booking your car into.

Can't say any more on the matter at this time.
