Spanked: Cayenne

Post by Shoppinit » Tue Aug 30, 2011 10:38 am

This was very satisfying. For once someone wanted to play with me...

Anyway, I'm doing about 80 and up behind me comes a Cayenne. Now I hate these with a passion so I put a spurt of speed on to show that I'm willing to play. I get the appropriate response :)

Anyway, when I can I pull over to let him pull level and drop down into 3rd, right in my power band. I was a bit late on the throttle so he got ahead of me and at this point he must have been very pleased with himself.

Except that the next time he looked in his mirror what did he see? An RS6 trying to get past ;)

Reluctantly he pulls over and the '6 starts hauling him in surprisingly rapidly.

At this point we are both doing silly speeds and conditions are no longer appropriate so we back off and I let him pull away to go and lick his wounds.

Good fun, and one very sick Cayenne driver I suspect. I suspect he's trading it in for something quicker than an audi estate as we speak :boohoo:

Annoyingly the Porsche was debadged and since I know nothing about them, I don't know what I beat. The turbo S would have been harder to beat I think.

Anyone know how to recognise them? If it helps it had huge exhausts, but maybe they all do.

Good thing you don't live down here, everybody and their mother has a Cayenne in Moscow :bash:

Some of them are quick..at least up to 60-100 after that it can't escape the fact that it's a rolling shed.

A turbo is quick off the line, RS6 a bit quicker but would feel pretty close I reckon. Rolling start no idea but a turbo from recent years would put up a decent fight, would still lose if not mapped but it wouldn't be a walkover.

Well done ;)
