higher mileage rs6
I think it's a great buy for the price. Just put the money that you are saving from buying another motor in a safe place and splash it out when repairs are needed.

so, if you pick it up for £10k, its costs you £4k and you have everything in order for a couple of years besides one off failures
AFAIK - Normal RS6 seats have piping usually contrasting in colour. I can't see that in the pics, plus the natural leather seats have a slightly rougher looking texture and are very dark brown in colour rather than black. It's worth checking as they were an expensive option and apparently wear better than the normal nappa leather.mattmitch wrote:How do you know if the seats are natural leather.
Looking at the photos again though it's difficult to tell.

124,000 on mine with one owner. Replace DRC, check cambelt replacement and make sure gearbox is serviced. Whatever you do go to a specialist outfit to look after it as it will save a fortune. I am looking forward to the next 100k.

Good shout, mbrooke. There was someone on here that was well into 200k miles and going strong. These cars are strong! But abuse will kill them quick.
Like DK says, if you put new disks and belts etc on it off the bat, then you're clear for the next few years (well, months
)
Plus you can get it done cheaper than that;
