Removing front door cards

Post by alpinestars » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:22 pm

Can anyone tell me how do to this please? I know there are screws in the side at the top, but I can't see anything else that holds them in but can't take them off either!

Thanks

Is it the same for the back panels? One of the windows in the back does not want to come back up... Nothing I normally bother about, but if it is that easy, might even take a look inside to fix it...

This is usually caused by the plastic window guides breaking. It's a common fault on the A/S/RS6.

Removing front door cards

Guys,

I had to do this earlier this year cos of a rattle and on searching YouTube also found this via a search on "Audi A6 Power Window Repair"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UP1Rn7Wj3s

It really is a piece of cake!

The hardest part is getting the window switches out, once you have mastered it, its very easy.

Let me know if you get stuck as I have some pictures.

If anyone needs the part number of the pink plastic window guides it is 4B0 837 463B (when I ordered them from VAGParts in the good old days! :D )
