Engine cutout on motorway.. ?

many thanks for the input. The limp I have experienced must be a hard a hard limp as when I pulled off the road and stopped, full power would only return with a turn off ignition and restart. ( hard limp- now there's a logic tautology for you!)

I am booking car in for warranty check tommorrow as 5 years up at end July 09, and also to replace leaking MAF "O" ring seals.

Hopefully that will stop the turbo whistle under acceleration and maybe prevent future limp mode- hard or soft.

I will also have the MAF and N75 checked out as well, if the dealer can do that.

I keep eyeing off your list of mods and resulting stellar performance and thinking of reaching for the cheque book!

unfortunately we do not have any Grizz equivalent in Perth as only 3 '6's in Perth!

Got the car back today (was in for over 3 weeks waiting for parts) - One of the exhaust gas temp sensors was at fault, and engine was removed in order to replace it.... Also found leaking proshaft flange and replaced lower suspension arms - although DRC was all fine (for once) . Thankfully I'm covered under Audi extended warranty so not a penny to pay - would be two and half grand otherwise.... Thanks to Audi Camberley for a top job as usual.
