GEARBOX

Hi chaps am new to this site can any one help audi have told me that the rs6 gear box takes 9.8 liters is this wright? i have had to change the box sump casket and only got approx 3-4 liters out of the box.???

Those quantities are about right, but you should be aware that filling the RS6 gearbox correctly is a much more complex operation that simply 'filling it up to the mark', involving closely monitoring the gearbox temperature and the use of a special tool to get the fluid into it.

Cheers which quantite is right ???? 9.8 or 3-4 liters

From empty it's 9.8 lt . Due to the fact you can't drain the oil cooler or torque converter it will only take 3-4 lt. g

Mine is booked in for gearbox oil change tomorrow, and they quoted for 10 litres of oil. Should i only be charged for 3 - 4 litres or is it possible for the oil cooler & torque converter to be drained also ? ( Btw - they quoted for 1 hr labour )

the gearbox is required to be at standard temp and the use of vag1551 or vag-com is required.

The oil cooler can be drained but it's not easy ,,I don't know how the torque converter can drained and refilled .All i can think of is to try to flush it out some how.
