Average millage out of a tank

Depends on number of journeys from cold per tank I would think. e.g. for me 13x17 miles = 1 tank. I've done 250 with two journeys on a single tank before.

I never count how many miles. I know it'll be bad however I drive.

450 - 580 km per tank (75-81 litres), stock RS6 plus. Granny in disguise?

yup. you can do much better than that. try for 400km!

seriously how on earth do you get 580km - i'm guessing a long trip at no more than 100km/hr???

Long trip, steady 100 kph and running for 50 km more after range shows 0 km

Naturally, in Germany and at the Ring I would get 200 km from a tank.

The normally optimistic range shown after fill-up is 365 miles. I would guess more like 280-300. Maximum recorded for me is 420 miles, with 10 miles remaining.

anyone actually run out, and then filled up to the brim to verify how big the tank is? i have once put in 80 litres without having run out previously....

For the first time ever I have gone over the 380mile per tank mark

Been doing London to Southend for the last 4 days which is 110 mile round trip..had my mum in the car with so drove careful...even set the cruise to 70mph

.......I couldn't believe it that is 100miles on my normal

Driving in manual mode helps a lot too, using engine braking when slowing, and shifting up earlier when not pushing.

My normal is 300 miles a tank unless I am smoking a few fools and then it is around 270. Best I have got so far is 340 but never get consistantly long journeys.

Have got 720 miles from my wifes A4 Avant Diesel going round Ireland and that just costs £60 to fill!

my computer tells me i average around 15.2 mpg , tho i may check this on a miles driven/petrol pumped , definitely not a granny !!!!!!!!!

Flip worst I have seen is 15.2, you must be really enjoying your car! Also I bet you have shares in your local petrol station.

had a good day today. Reset computer and i managed 10.4 mpg adverage! Guess mine will be worse than most as i have amd 520 upgrade. I also guess living a mile away from town center and a mile in the other direction is full of fast country roads does not help!
