Good morning all
Not expecting an immediate response as at the time of writing I expect you are all packing your families into the RS6 and heading off to church!
Anyway I am the proud owner of Rob's (Meluns) RS6 Avant in Black and am based in Edinburgh
First of all now having quickly worked throught my first tank of unleaded I am mightily impressed and this is a car I have wanted for many years and reading all your posts has eased the patience pain.
A quick question though please.
When I took delivery of the car my friends drove it down to my local fuel station which gave me the opportunity to hear the car from the outside. My first thoughts having known it was very low on fuel was whether it would make it to the garage as it really sounded like it was missing.
The car returned full of gas, my wallet significantly lighter and two friends with a big smile on their faces.
I have since driven the car and certainly cannot complain about performance, but last night my neighbour (another petrolhead) also commented about the offbeat engine note (sort of like a V8 Subaru if they made one) and this has prompted me to ask the question. When gently increasing the revs from idle it is pefectly smooth and perhaps this is just the way it sounds.
I would welcome any feedback as if there is something adrift I will take it for a professional opinion.
Many thanks
Jonathan

RE: rs6 engine note
Mine's the same - nothing wrong there. I looked into that before I bought.
