RS6 Discs

Post by alangjones » Sun Dec 03, 2006 8:22 pm

Has anyone found grooved discs. The drilled discs crack around the drill holes and plain vented get overhot. I have hunted but found nothing. Want to fit grooved ones next change.

never seen any, - ebay is much cheaper than the dealer for new disks - theres a couple of VAG parts suppliers that usuall have brand new sets on there...pads too (drilled though)
cheers

This is my first respnse on the site which I have found useful and terrifying in equal measure. After reading Simon George's article in Evo, I called Tarox and they reckon they can make a set of billet groved discs for around £1350. They have said they will look into a bulk discount for 10 plus orders so I don't know if there is any interest in this but of so let me know and I will talk to them again. Tarox think their discs may last longer than standard and perform better. Anyone any idea if this is likely.

If there were other takers and they are ok fitment -floating ones I would be interested. The drilled ones crack so quickly around the drill holes which also block too quickly
