Can anyone help? i have an 06 rs4 with an intermitant starting problem. the car starts fine generally if its started every day, but if left for a couple of days wont start. it has been into audi 5 times now and they are struggling, they have replaced the cluth sensor 3 times but with limited success. the only way i can get the car started is by using jump leads from another car onto the terminals in the bulk head and it starts. the battery is fine before anyone says that. any comments please?

I have no idea if this could have anything to do with you're issue or weather this applys in this scenario but its worth the suggestion..

I had a motor with a similar issue many years ago.
It was a weak Starter motor that did not sound weak. If the ECU did not detect 250RPM from the Starter motor the ECU wouldnt allow any fuel through the injectors. 249RPM would disable it from starting.

It was diagnosed via OBD monitering the RPM values the ECU was reading. Combination of new battery + starter fixed it.
Could be worth just checking out.
