My car started life as 4 door Golf 1.8T, originally registered in August '98 - one of the first in the UK. ^ years on and around 4 years of continuous development at AmD, there's not really much of the car left standard. It was the development car that AmD have used for their 350bhp conversion for TT/S3's (as I have a TT225 engine), which they call a 'stage 5'. We've pushed mine a little further and we're hoping to get around 360-370bhp this weekend when it's finally running again (first time since May). And the 'R18' is just taking the pee out of the R32

Oh - and it's going through the front wheels

Hi Jon - that's the one. Speak to Scott or Craig - I'm pretty sure they're doing them in 19's now.

Hi Gary, hows the Scooby after Lemans Image Image

Good week though Image

It was a top weekend wasn't it?!!

I got a quote from a Breakers in Durham (funnily enough) - it started off quite reasonably for an engine, then he added there might be a charge if he couldn't re-con the old one, then I might need a new primary and secondary Turbo, then I'd need to add VAT...so worse case scenario around £2.5K!
(Mental note to everyone: If you're going to play daft buggers round a roundabout on the Sunday after Le Mans in a Subaru Legacy Twin Turbo...make sure it's got oil in it! Image ) It eventually took us 36 hours to get home, with a stop-over in Cherbourg - it was an adventure in itself! Luckily I managed to get AA Cover 10 minutes after the Engine went bang or we'd still be there! Image
Skye wasn't too pleased - as it was going to be her car when we got back - but what we didn't tell anyone till we got back was that at 3.00am on the Mulsanne Straight, I proposed and she said yes!

Anyway, deciding not to go for the engine re-build (just started my new job, so couldn't really afford it, after being out of work for 6 months) and put an ad on Scoobynet for the Leggy. 7 minutes later I got an email from the guy who'd quoted me for the parts, saying he'd have it for £2.1K!! I'd already decided that that car with no engine is probably worth £1.5K, so I bit his arm off!

In the end, purely as a stop-gap till a decent manual Leggy comes along, I've bought an old A6 Avant 2.3 5 Cylinder.
160K, 2 owners from new, FULL Audi Service History, All electrics, Climate control and heated seats. For £1200!!
But knowing me it couldn't stay standard for long, so this:

to this:

over a weekend! S2 Alloys and clear idicators make a HUGE difference! Getting some S4 Sports Seats for it this weekend and some H&R springs will finish the transformation into a Reliable, comfortable (but slow as shyte!) Dog Basket.

Company Car turned up last Month, a 320D:

which is now racked up 5K! (At an average of 44mpg Image)
- Scott will be using it for a Oneclick development, so we should be able to see 200bhp/300lbs-ft and 40+mpg!

The Golf should be running by the weekend, So that's me up to date - how's you Andy?
