Old member, first post. Hello from the US!

Post by b6bydesign04 » Wed Feb 08, 2017 5:30 pm

Been a member for a few months now, mostly lurking and reading. Thought it was finally time to introduce myself! Come from a long line of modified Audi's (B6 S4, B7 A4, B8 S4) briefly made the switch to BMW before returning to Audi. Had always wanted an RS4 and was very fortunate to find one tucked away locally here in the US with very low mileage and a very rare color combo (1 of 1 here in the US). Looking forward to learning and seeing how members from across the pond modify their cars!

Car:
2008 RS4 Sedan
Suzuka Gray with Exclusive interior
Titanium Package

Mods:
KW V3
ECS Tuning 10mm Wheel Spacer Flush Fit Kit
JHM Short Shifter
Apikol Street Density Rear Diff Mount
034Motorsport Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert Kit
034Motorsport Density Line Front Upper Strut Mounts

First day after completing paperwork:

Welcome buddy. How do you get on with the JHM short shifter? Is it a big improvement over the stock shifter?

Welcome, and that's a very rare colour for a B7, I don't think I've seen a suzuka one before although there was a photo of an avant that had the RS5 rotors on and that looked like suzaka in some shots.

Welcome aboard and congrats
Car looks great and I reckon probably 1of1 in the world, seen Ibis but never Suzuka before on a B7
Any pics of the exclusive interior?

Thanks! The JHM short shifter is great. Can be a bit of a challenge to get installed correctly, but once it is, the shifts are greatly improved and very crisp. Recently another US manufacturer released another option which others seem to have equal success with and has a even greater reduction between shifts (47% vs. JHM's 40%) and is more adjustable in knob height, not to mention it's also about $25 cheaper: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-parts/a ... 98ecs01~a/

Thanks guys! Rare indeed, 1 of 7 Suzuka’s here in the states and 1 of 1 with the exclusive interior. I have seen some others in other parts of the world but definitely a rare color! And yes, I think we can all agree the 20” rotors look excellent on the B7 body style RS4’s, I’m actually trying to source some from a local RS5 owner once his new wheels arrive. No current pics of the interior, but I’ll try to get some up. Here is a stock photo though, this was the factory exclusive package option we had here in the states:

Thanks for the info and link. I'll take a look at them both.

Love the colour of your RS4
