Hello from a new RS4 B7 Owner in Germany

Hello

I recently purchased a late '06 B7 RS4 here in Germany in Daytona Grey, Black Optics Pack, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, Bucket Seat and Titanium Wheels.

The previous owner really took care of it, and has already removed the DRC Suspension, and fitted H&R coilovers, adjustable rollbars and lowered it. It has a Supersprint exhasut system and also recently De-coked the inlet manifold. he also renewed the front oil cooler and pipes.

so, there is not much to do except enjoy it!

This will be my 4th quattro, and so far it is the fastest and most enjoyable!

Looking forward to any help and support in the future from this forum, it comes highly recommended.

regards

Thanks Guys

No major plans for more modifications for the moment.

The first thing I have done is pick up some winter tyres and rims. It's the law here from November until April, (and they do love their rules)

I went for the standard 19-inch double seven-spoke alloys in silver, but they came off an Audi A8, with 8" with instead of 9". the offset is the same as the standard 19" rim (ET29), so it fits perfectly, and actually steers a little nicer, because the front axle doesn't follow the road as much. However, now I'm missing about 12.7mm of track width either side. I'm not concerned with adding spacers to the rear (maybe it puts a little extra load on the bearing and you loose a little spring rate stiffness), but i don't really like wheel spacers on the front because it messes up your scrub radius

Does anyone have any experience with wheel spacers on the front?...maybe i need to take this away from the meet and greet section of the forum...

Should be fine with decent spacers. I run 8mm spacers on both summer and winter wheel sets (both OEM 19's).

Yes, I would - B7 section has always been one of the most active on the forum, and lots of useful advice gets circulated there

Welcome, and enjoy the '4
