Hi, C5 RS6 Avant in Lincolnshire

Hi everyone, owned my RS6 for nearly a week now, got a few things to do !
It still has DRC (bounce bounce), Standard exhaust (could do with a little bit more presence). But overall well pleased with it.
It makes my other car a Defender feel even more like a tractor !
I am cautious about going down the coil over route, as I have driven cars fitted with them and they all felt very harsh, has anyone on here fitted Koni Sport shocks with the original springs. These are not listed for the RS6 but fit the 4.2 Quattro ! There has been some good reviews in the States. I do not want a harsh ride, the roads around here are all pretty nasty, the nearest dual carriageway is 35 miles away.
Would not want to have a loud intrusive exhaust as I use it daily & like the appearance of the standard tailpipes, but would like a little more burble ! A mate had a VXR8 with a switchable system it went from standard to loud at the switch of a button, has anyone fitted a similar system to a C5, that would be ideal for me.
Any suggestions gratefully received. Anyone visiting Skeggy give me a shout :beerchug:
Thanks
Andy

FON! (unofficial rules!)

Glad you're enjoying it!

Is the drc actually gone? Although a bit prone to failure in these old cars it's generally considered to be a very good setup. It also works to reduce body roll/squat/dive. It's worth exploring coilovers if it needs changing but otherwise I'd say leave it on the drc.

Noise wise I agree the car is wayyy too quiet standard. Even with the resonated milltek people seem to be disappointed a lot of the time. I went for the non resonated (louder option) and I love it. I use it as my daily driver and while mooching about its quiet enough, just burbles away. It's only really when you stomp on the loud pedal it makes a decent amount of noise. There's plenty of other options but I'm just giving you my opinion on what I went for. The larger exhaust tips look much better imo, that's personal preference though.

Having the alloys refinished in gunmetal grey very soon
Might go for the Non Res Miltek then.
Thanks for the advice.

The DRC is doing something, but feels bouncy. There are a few funny noises sometimes and on hard braking the front dives quite a bit. I would like to keep it standard but have heard a lot of nightmare stories about DRC. I had a C5 Allroad previously on air suspension and that handled probably better over bumps than the RS6. The RS6 will sometimes feel very light over bumps at speed. Sometimes it seems better than others if that makes any sense.

Welcome along and FON.

Take the car over to Unit 20, Grizz can sort out DRC.
Exhaust wise, most of us run Milltek but I've heard the build quality has gone down hill lately. Bam_Bam on here has a switchable exhaust on Darth ( his loon), was built by Hayward and Scott. There are a few vids knocking about if you wanted to hear it. I've heard good stories about AAS exhaust makers up north, think a few B7 RS4 guys have them.
