Hi All I am John and joined today so please be gentle!

As per the subject I recently placed an order for:-

Daytona grey pearl
gloss black pack
panoramic roof
advanced parking pack
privacy glass
21'' polished alloys
red calipers
sports exhaust

£6k discount, didn't think that too bad.

Was originally quoted May delivery, and after paying the deposit was advised that due to 'engine constraints' it will now be September, but on the plus side it will be a 2016 model year so any spec improvements will be FOC. Anyone know what the delays on the engine are, or any likely spec improvements?

This will be my first Audi, previously a BMW M3 and M5 owner, and most recently a 911.

The wait begins!

6k, not too bad, but not great either, there's more than that in it.

There's no MY16 as such, it's just been face lifted so I would not expect any changes.

Hi john, Conrates on the purchase. I to have just ordered an RS6 (last Wednesday) you can certainly achieve significantly more than the standard £6k discount. Regarding engine issues, I have been given a build week of week 16 with no mention of any engine issues. I'm hoping for end of May/early June delivery.

I was originally told May, but by the time they ordered it I was advised week 31 for build, which including shipping time to the UK and PDI is a further 4 weeks!

Do you have a confirmed delivery?

During the negotiations I was told to expect early May for delivery but once confirmed order the car was allocated a week 16 build. I figure from this date it should be with me by early June. I hope it's no longer than this as I gave my trade in to the dealer on Friday. I can cope with a couple of months with no car but would not want it to be much more than this.

I'm also new to this site. I've laways had Audi's

I'm not aware of any engine delay issues either.

I ordered my C7 RS6 in Phantom Black, Crystal effect in Mid December, Build week this week, week 12 and Audi Teesside are saying mid April delivery.

Once I get it, I'll post some pics.
