Hey Guys still no come back from APR regarding the upgrade to the 1740 Blower. But here is a Graph from the 1340 Blower. Getting seriously pissed off with them now Just a quick update would be nice :bash:
Let me know what ye think. The car does feel great but to honest its just not fast enough.

Less than 400ft/lbs seems woeful and while 515ish HP isn't to be sniffed at, it's only 50-60HP over a well sorted B7 (stage 1/2 MRC'd) which is a lot cheaper to arrive at than a SC'd B7. PLUS it's not what APR advertise.

I'm not going to say I told you so.

But.

This.

Have you paid a visit to MRC in France? Mihnea Cotet would be the best to comment on why you're not making the power advised. Although, I'd envisage there'd be a whole raft of internet folk would have an opinion. Don't get disheartened, live and learn.

Hey bam bam

Yes I agree "Less than 400ft/lbs seems woeful and while 515ish HP isn't to be sniffed at," As I said the car is driving well but these figures are not what APR are advertising .That is why I want/need some kind of feedback from people that have a lot more experience and knowledge than me. I haven't contacted MRC but I am very close to taking this step. To be honest I have almost given up on APR and will have no problem slating them after this experience! Hard to believe I was planning on getting an APR tune for my Carrera S so they would have received more business from me but they can go f**k themselves now as I have not even received a mail/update from them in the last 4 weeks and this is after sending numerous mails.

As you say "Live and Learn" that's for sure the truth . I doubt I would ever go to this level of tuning again after this experience it just seems a complete load of :dung:
Next time just a simple stage 1 or 2 for me I think.

Thanks again for the advise

The TTS/MRC kit bolted onto a B7 is good for a proven 600/600. I followed one around Castle Combe and I was only gaining on the straights at walking pace. It's a great package, by all accounts.

Sorry to say I told you so mate, that blower just isn't big enough to support apr's claims. Bullshit was called many months ago its unfortunate the customers suffer. You could sell that kit for a decent price on here and go for a tts kit or hold our for the 1740 kit (that will happen) just no1 knows when that will be released. Don't worry too much about the numbers and maybe just try to enjoy it for what it is just now
