Man do you read anythng correctly before you make a comment? Or do you blame your I-phone everytime you make a knob of yourself?? Plush automotive did not do a 18 piston set, also written quite clearly on the piston for all to see :bash:

Look here is a picture of the Tarox range, can you see a 18 piston? you seemed to be obsessed with the number 18, why?

Look mate I am not going to carry this on any further I dont want to be involved in a keyboard war over a difference in opinion, I like the upgrade and it makes sense for me as I drive mountain passes quite regurly here in Switzerland and the standard brkes were not up to the job.

Haha keyboard war? Hardly, I don't like the brakes seem pointless to me. Im entitled to my opinion and not seeing the number 12 on a tiny picture hardly makes me a knob. I whole heartedly apologise for me being 2 numbers out on lukes kit I feel ashamed of myself

...and we're all friends again.

So, why Tarox? The sweep looks immense but that could be an optical doohickywhatsit, is it? Is it a matter of better brake across a longer pad or, is it just something different... and Italian?

Wow, well I for one am ignoring the douchey posts over the last page regarding the brakes. Tarox make some stunning brake setups and those brakes look delicious. More importantly I expect that can stop a train time and time again.

Kier, did you actually end up taking the car over to them in the end or something else? I am pretty disappointed with my C6 caliper/custom disc setup on my 6 and have been fighting the urge to rip it all out and go totally bespoke after I finally move house.....
Current:

Gone:

To be honest all of the above!
I love the look of them they look even better in real life so its not the photo :-) Yes the braking force has been increased by 34% so yes better braking across a longer pad :-) And yes this kit because its different and has never been done for the RS4 19' before. Also thought it might be a good thing to have another option instead of just the RS6 conversion or of course going for Ceramics which is quite expensive. Also if anyone is interested In getting a kit from Tarox and needs some info I will gladly try and help out.

Hey Mr Footlong

Thanks for the compliment
Yes I did bring the car to the Factory in Italy but this was because the fitting of the caliper had not been tried within the stock 19' from an RS4. If you need any help with getting some info let me know. They now have the dimensions for the RS6 alloy also, as when mine were been fitted for the 19' I supplied them with a stock 20'RS6 alloy for fitting also.

Which brake kit are you running now?

Footers and I are running the same brake setup, it was a little project of ours. C6 calipers and a custom carrier with an AP 390mm x 36mm (54 vanes) disc. It bolts straight up without any spacers or black magic. I've used the calipers on track (with OEM C6 discs) and they're ok. I've not tracked these new discs, yet.

Yep, they look like this:

Not the works of art that the Tarox ones are but weren't too bad price-wise.

Hey Guys

They look nice! Tight fit, are they 19' or 20' ? Do you mind me asking what kind of money it cost to put all the bits together? The Brembo Caliper must have been expensive enough on its own. If you feel like a change to a Tarox kit in the future please send me a message and i will do my best to help out. My tuning guy has contact in Tarox so any questions throw them my way and I can ask for him to do a little research if needed.

Have a good one

Revisiting this thread and curious if you got anything more out of the APR kit?

Hey EDGE

No man unfortunetly the saga continues but its not over yet :-) At the moment I trying to get another independant Dyno test organized so I can supply APR with the graph with the low figures. I spoke just a few days ago with APR and they are glad to connect to the car and check all parameters so I am waiting on their local guy here in France to see if he can organize a test Bench for me otherwise I will just go back to HMS in Germany again and send APR the bill. They are quite confident that they can get more out of it, but I really am starting to doubt this! The car is fast dont get me wrong and it will destroy most things I meet on the road but it would be nice to see them achive their power claims.
Hope to have an answer on this in the next week or two and ill put up the graph from HMS Dyno so you can have a look yourself.

It won't make the power they claim. Simple. It's been played out on many forums, put your muddy boots on and do some searches but be prepared to lower your reading age back to pre-school. For some reason supercharger threads just end up sounding like the back seat of the special bus.

Bam is 110% correct the power is around 60-70hp shy of their claim. Wouldn't waste your time trying to find something that's not there. Just demand apr supply you with the new blower upgrade at their cost

Hey guys

Thanks for the advise I think I will stop with this quest so :( No point in flogging a dead horse as they say.

Bam I have done quite a bit of research but every thread I found regarding Superchargers just seems to end up in a battle over numbers and know actual info on how to try and solve or improve this. To be honest I think the 60-70 hp shy is quite a lot!! False advertising from APR?? lets see if I can speak to them about an upgraded blower as S4player has suggested.

Do ye know if an upgraded blower is available yet from APR??
I will have a look at their site this evening to see if I can find anything!

Thanks again

Its in the cards for sure I'm sure they were around 7-8 months into testing the 1740 (I think) blower. Ill also bet they will offer you an upgrade package for a very good price
