If you have mirrors that look like they belong on an RS4 you dont halve folding mirrirs (not even manually). If you have mirrors that look like they came off an A4 then you probably have electrically folding mirrors.
You can get an ipod cpnnection in the golvebox but i think you have to sacrifice the CD changer. You ca nalternatively get a kufatec / alpine conversion that allows you to keep the CD changer but will also allow you to watch videos from your ipod on the sat nav screen. Look it up on you tube.
The other option is to go for the later RNS-E from an A3 (2010 onwards) that has, amongst other things, a better ipod interface but allows had AMI which will allow you to plug in a portable harddrive that has all your mp3s on.

I have the silver'ish mirrors - ah, ok - didn't know that the mirrors can't fold back. Thanks for the heads up and the tip on the RNS-E. Youtube here I come.

Cheers

Well done tcat, she looks like a tidy example (the car not the wife).

Your roof lininig is very light. Is this the normal colour or was there an option?

By the way, you have the electricaly adjusted, heated mirrors. They do not fold, auot-tilt on reverse, auto-dimm or fold in anyway. By far the better looking though.

Thanks.

No idea about the roof lining - maybe as it has a sunroof they kept it light as possible. I currently have a call in with the local Audi garage to advise on all options that were added an as extra onto the car when purchased from new... will keep you posted.

You can ask the Audi dealer for a print out of the car's original spec sheet. Mine provided me with one when it was in for service recently.
Misano Red B7 RS4 Avant. 20" Rotors. KW adjustable spring kit. 8 & 10mm H&R spacers. MRC Stage 2 remap. Pre-cat delete & x-pipe.

Or there's a Sticker on the car with loads of 3 letter codes. And sites on the net that decode them.

Not all options are necessarily on the Sticker though I think.

The Sticker is in the boot under the carpet (on the saloon it is anyway). You should also have the same printed in your service book. just tap the letters into one of the websites and it will tell you all your options.

As far as i know it will list all the options as long as they were factory options. You will get a load of other stuff on there too that was standard on the RS4 e.g. 4.2 V8.

Mine has a couple of albeit minor ones not on the sticker, and I'm sure they'll have been on there from day 1...but the big items are there.

Audi customer service were quite helpful... they emailed me the following:

Specification:

First aid kit with warning triangle
Automatic air recirculation
Electric slide and tilt glass sunroof
Front centre armrest
Reversible mat for luggage compartment
CD changer
Adaptive lights
DVD satellite navigation system
Technology pack
CD changer
Privacy glass
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Daytime light pack and coming home

---

All of the above sounds quite obvious aside from the "daytime light pack & coming home". Any ideas?

Also, according to Audi service centre, now that I'm the new owner, I need to indoctrinated at the local dealership - prereq V5 cert. & 2 forms of ID.

I get a courtesy health check too as the new owner. I'll see how I get on with this in a few days :)

Hi All, does anyone have a recommended website on where you can punch in the Sticker code? Thanks

The daytime lights and coming home features mean you have 2 littles switch (well, push out knobs actually) on the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel. Turn the DRL (daytime lights) on and your DRLs bulbs will be on all time except when your sidelights or headlights are on. Turn the coming home knob on and when you unlock the car at night the front fogs and rear tail lghts will come on to help you make your way to the car. They will also come on when you turn the engine off and open the door at night.
