I find the really low mileage cars are not normally serviced properly. I've seen some that have gone for 4 or 5 years without a service because they haven't done very many miles. That's not how it works.

TOTALY agree!!!!!!! Well maintained 100k car is always better than a garage queen 20k+ that has been serviced 2-3 times in 10 years..

Are you the same DAIR on Overclockers?

I'm pretty much sold on the idea of an RS4 and I too worry about high milers.

However, I've had a chat with a lad who has a car that is pretty much as per my want list but it is just over 100K and was planning to only look at sub 80s minimum. It's had some of the big jobs done - clutch, DRC, intake manifold (this, I've yet to discover why).

From what I've gathered on here (and to be fair, my own experience of cars - my B7 avant TDI is on 140K and it's spot on) high mileage shouldn't be the big put off - as often said in the Motors forum on OCUK it's poor maintenance that kills a car not high miles.

I got to drive an RS4 not too long ago and it made up my mind that I want one. Just going to keep looking and trying them until I click with the right one. :)

Yep that's me!

Been on the lookout for a while. Still need to arrange a viewing and test drive.

Sorry for the bump. Still careless. Though I'm moving up to Wales next week and plan to make a move on something soon after. The RS4 is still up there and would like to know whether we have any RS4 owners in the Barnet area?
