Newbie Alert!!!
Newbie Alert!!!
Hey folks
Just wanted to introduce myself and say HI.
My name is Jamie and I have owned a 2001 B5 S4 for a couple of years and love it. About 5 or so weeks ago I treated myself to a 2005 C5 RS6 and I am in awe! I find myself laughing out loud when I get a quiet stretch of road. The car has had the DRC replaced and the rear exhausts are aftermarket but I don't know which manufacturer. The gearbox was reconditioned approx 30,000 miles ago. Full Service History (Not all Audi) and plenty of receipts that coincide with the service stamps. I had the car fully checked and apart from a few silly things (and some things I will possibly change due to preference) its all good and I am extremely happy with it!
The idea was that i was supposed to sell the S4 as it was (at first) a fill in but I cant seem to part with it. I have put a bit of time and effort into the car. My dad is salivating at the anticipation of running it (for me, lol).
I hope you are all fit and well and I'm looking forward to plenty of geeky chats.
Thank You!

Re: Newbie Alert!!!
Awesome pair mate, well done. C5 is the best colour.

Re: Newbie Alert!!!
Thank you marc1.
Going to refurbish the alloys to a dark grey on the RS. Black is a bit harsh for an old walloper like me. Personal preference. The blue brake calipers will stay depending on how they look with the dark grey wheels. I think they'll be fine. Not touching the old girl (S4). She's just fine, IMO.

Re: Newbie Alert!!!
C5 RS6 Plus dark grey wheel colour is called Titan. The paint code is L8AU. Also seen on the B7 RS4 known as titanium. Works well. That would be my choice (actually it is my choice as have 2 sets of wheels in this colour, lol).
