A very excited c6 s6 owner

Post by Y17TSY » Tue Mar 01, 2016 12:48 pm

Hi all, im new to the Audi fleet so be gentle, ive owned plenty of vw's including t4 camper, but my last 2 cars have been erm a bmw, Always loved Audi's but never been in a position to own one but i wanted somthing that was pretty quick as standard, somthing i wouldnt mess with too much and it had to be an estate, My fiance has a 2004 a3 with 170k (and still going strong) on, and being impressed with how well its lasted i started looking for my first Audi, my mate showed me an s6 and realising they was in my price range i started looking and after abit of background info on them i found this, i bought it with 88k FSH with a folder full of receipts, plan on doing a few modifications but nothing exciting hopfully intime for my usual trip to Nurburgring in july,
A random pic i know but its my most recent as i washed it last night

Welcome :)

Got an RS6 C6 myself and love the thing... had it a year come the 4th.

Things to look out for, Carbon build up.. the S6 is reknown for carbon coking, might be worth getting it checked out, but overall nothing much to worry about, brakes are cheaper then the RS and a few things can be done.
Exhaust will certainly make it sound a lot nicer ( mine was so quiet stock) back box removal is a cheap way of increasing noise without spending millions on a milltec or similar.

The RS C6's are coming down heavily in price, early to mid twenties will have you a good one now. But if you after one i'll run you through it a later date! more things to look out for on the RS.
As for a terraclean dont waste your money fella, do more harm than good and certainly wont remove any big deposits. Best advice depending on where you are located look for a well documented Audi specialiest like MRC or Revolution (south and north of the country) and get it done right, thats pretty much the only thing you'll need to worry about on the S6, apart from front wheel bearings but thats a well known C6 issue and affects all models.
