New member, Audi RS6 C5

Post by TomRS6TT » Wed Dec 17, 2014 11:15 am

Hi Audi people,

I bought this car from Melbourne (Australia) week ago. It's my first Audi, but as I'm from Europe then I'm quite familiar with them. Currently car is in Perth (Australia).
I was on the market for something special and options were M5, E55 or RS6. M5 and E55 were little bit too boring so RS6 it was.
Car has done 93000km and has up to last bit audi service history, 1 service has been done somewhere else, but it's booked.
Over all car looks good and handles good, there are some marking on the paint but nothing crazy.
Car has Miltek ''Not for road use'' exhaust, I had to fit there 3'' high flow catalysators to get over pits, wagner full intercooler kit, some sort of purple DV (no name on them) and I'm sure there is someones tune in the ECM also but not sure who's. Car sounds decent.

Now for bad side, when I start the car, activate AC and pull gear to D then rpm's start hunting by 100-200 rpm's. As soon I switch AC off rpm's stay at ~800 rpm, I'm still on D with gear. If i have AC on and gear is in P then rpm's are normal (800) and no hunting. Does anyone know what can cause this kind of behavior? I have cleaned MAF's with CRC MAF cleaner but this didn't help. Also I added Nulon fuel system cleaner into fuel tank, so far with 200km it hasn't help
Yesterday and today i heard some knocking sound from rear when I was driving, not sure what it was as it's not always there. I have checked suspension over and there is no leaks from them (changed stock suspension by Audi). I'm wondering should I hear failed DRC system knocking sound all the time when I'm on the shaky road or only when there is really bad trambuline asphalt?

Overall I like the car, quality is something else then Japan cars.
One picture also, first night at garage.

Regards,
Tom
