RS4 B7 North Wales

Post by owenwelsh » Sat Oct 19, 2013 8:47 pm

Hi guys.
Picked up my RS4 on Friday.
A one owner, v clean example, bought from an independent dealer.
Approaching 50k miles.
There is a slight knock coming from the front nearside.
Gonna take it for a full check up next week from an Audi garage, hopefully they will find something wrong so I can get it sorted while the 3 month warranty is still active.
I had an R32 twelve months ago and absolutely loved it........this beats it, easily!

FON + 1

If it turns out to be a leaking damper you might be lucky and get the Audi dealer to replace it FOC under goodwill; mine replaced one of mine at 44k. Good luck, nice car and of course the best shape

As above, welcome, FON and could be DRC. Mine did exactly the same, except the knock was coming from the front offside. It turned out to be rear nearside shock that had gone though.

Just got the car back today.......
It's been a long dragged out affair, nearly 4 weeks getting sorted.
It's had new struts and accumulators all round and now feels like a new car, no rattles or squeaks!
I was SO close to saying "stick it....!"
Pleased I didn't now :)
Got the KW coilover spring pack on hold until the warranty runs out, which incidentally the dealer has reset to three months from yesterday.

First buy installed, Bluetooth adaptor plugged into the iPod dock, Love the ability to play music from my iPhone via bluetooth, good quality too!
