Gone from Dreaming to Driving - so saying Hi!

Post by blakytone » Wed Aug 11, 2010 4:12 pm

Hi Everyone, just a quick hello as after a long time dreaming, I'm finally driving my first (B5) RS4. Three weeks in and it's already taken me to Germany and back twice, via a few laps of the Nurburgring and some derestricted Autobahn. It's by far the best car I've ever owned.

It's a pretty leggy example so a few issues are inevitable, I guess. It's booked in with MRC for a thorough healthcheck shortly (there are a few fault codes logged).

More pressing is what seems like a faulty fuel pump. It wasn't starting yesterday and I had to resort to calling the AA. The guy thumped the underside of the fuel tank "Fonzie style" and the car started up, so that's on the list for MRC too.

I've had a trawl around the site and found a few threads mentioning fuel pumps and relays - is there any more recent experience of problems with this? I'd appreciate any insights!

Cheers

Welcome, good choice in car. Very good driving introduction to the RS4 by taken her on the Nordschleife.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
