350Z owner being drawn to a B7 RS4.

Post by RS4_Nick » Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:33 pm

Hello all

Just joined this site having been browsing since the start of new year.

I've owned a 350Z for the last 2 years and I'm itching for a change.
Was pretty focused on a 987 Boxster S until I looked at an RS4 recently. The Audi salesman started it up and I haven't got the sound out of my head since.
I need to hold off until the back end of this year (if I can resist the temptation) as I've promised my lady a new bathroom..

My step-daughter's boyfriend has just got a new job at an Audi dealer, which doesn't help my temptation, but I've instructed him to leave me alone until the end of the year. Thing is I'm going to find it difficult not to bring up the subject when I see him :bash: I'm sure you know what I mean!

I've read a lot about the B7 and note concerns over the DRC. Can I ask, is there an actual cure for the problem or do Audi simply renew the system - meaning it can go wrong again?

Thanks

Nick

welcome -

ive just bought a B7 myself - awesome sound!

in terms of the DRC - i believe that audi UK have extended the warranty on the system to five years...

My car came with a letter from some top bod at audi to this effect...

maybe a more experienced member can add to this?
