I remember discussions about this ( on AS.net ?)ages ago. I do not remember the outcome but my S3 doesn't have them and the seats aint harf cold in the morning
Are the elements in all the seats and all you need is the wiring and switches ??
AmD want £295 +vat for cruise Fontain £275+ .Is there anywhere cheaper, I understand that the parts are only about £70 ??

Acctually i think the parts around £15...... not sure though, i think that around £250 is the going rate to have it retro-fitted because they have to take the steering apart to wire it up.

try VAGparts for the bits and I am sure you would be OK to fit cruise control yourself, I am sure you can do it through the VAG COM tool as you need to modify the ECU, I think???

Correct: The Recaro seats come with the elements as standard. There is a spare connector under the seat. If you want to wire them up you'll need to lift the carpet unless you can manage to fit it inside the trim under the door.

Thanks Dave/ Bushy. Tried VAGparts, thought they may have a kit of necessary bits. Paul suggested Fontain !
How's the job situation Dave ?

I still haven't got one

The job market is just so competitive these days. I just have to keep making applications - eventually something will come up

Anyone out there know which connector is the heater element one? I've had a look under the seat and the connectors seem to be a bugger to get to so any help is much appreciated (even the colour coding of the relevant wires would be a help).
