Annoying High pitched whine

About 3 months ago i drove over a bloody pot hole and suddenly there was a high pithced whine coming from the passenger door - i cant really tell if it is from the tweeter or the main speaker or both. It wouldnt stop even when i turned the stereo off. It only stopped when i turned the ignition off.

Ever since then, good as gold, it starts up the second i get to 70 mph and then stops once i drop below that. Ive tried to have a look at the speakers but couldnt see anything unusual.

Has anyone had this b4 or is it just me - again! Help would be appreciated cus its doing my nut in! :bash:

Thanks, Mark

You got there before me Rob!

Can't really see that the speakers would do this. Have you checked your tyres thoroughly for any damage...might only be evident at speed. Years ago my bro had a knocking noise from the front of the car which was only evident after about 50mph...turned out to be a "flap" of tread coming loose from the surface of the tyre.

Had the same tyre issue myself once. A small strip would lift up at about 50mph and resonate - bit like putting a blade of grass between your thumbs and blowing

Long shot, but maybe...
