Hi all,

Firstly is this is a duplicate thread, I apologise, just point me in the right direction!

I am in the process of buying a X or W reg Audi Allroad. Apologies for all the questions, but i'd like to have the parts ready for when i collect the car. I'd of loved an rs6, but it was that and no bike racing or the allroad as a tow car for the race bike :)

Would you recommend the bose equipped symphony over the normal symphony?

What unit do I need to replace the double din radio with the dvd satnav+ (rns-e i think??)

What other leads/parts do I need to order?

Can you recommend any ebay sellers or cheap sources for the unit and any parts?

Whats the best device to interface with my ipod that works as natively as possible with the satnav+ ?

Would you recommend just getting a bluetooth kit like the parrot or is there something slicker that would work with the satnav+?

Any other tips/links/sites most appreciated.

thanks
mark

Bose is an amplifier and speaker combination that can be used with any of the Audi headunits - it's not specific to the Symphony.

Having had 3 Bose equipped Audis and 2 non-Bose, IMHO I would always look out for Bose.

An adapter harness and an antenna adapter.

I wouldn't buy off eBay, I'd go to craigyb.

None of the iPod interfaces that work with the non-MMI radios are that good, but the best amongst them is the Dension Gateway 400.

Get the proper Audi Bluetooth, it integrates fully with the RNS-E. Again craigyb is the man.
