Help!! Disc won't go into satnav plus!
RE: Help!! Disc won
The top cover of the RNS-E is held in place by 6 screws.
Re: RE: Help!! Disc won
I can sell you a set of genuine Audi removal keys, that will make the job a lot easier.1982Deaks wrote:I think I'm going to have a go at what TDi Avant has said. Not sure how to get the sat nav out, anybody Know?

Confusingly BOTH the RNS-D and RNS-E say "Audi sat nav plus" on the front panel ... so it could be either.shineydave wrote:thought we were talking about the sat nav plus, ie the RNS-D

At the moment only 1982deeks knows that - until he tells us!shineydave wrote:so which one is it then?
RNS-D = CD based, 2 large knobs - 1 either side of the manually moved display.
RNS-E = DVD based, 1 large knob to the right of the motorised display, SD card slots.

Its an RNS-D, I didn't know that both types were labelled sat nav plus.
Managed to get a set of keys from Halfrauds.
Figured out whats up with it, its the spindle that slots into the middle of the disc thats not lifting up when you slot the disc in, due to something in the spring loaded mechanism being snapped. The spindle can however be lifted up with a screwdriver.
I now have another problem with it though
But I'll start another post about that!!
