I think it’s a advantage that car has ceramics rather to be disadvantage when selling car.
Not if you are buying one that will need them replacing shortly - that is not a good deal. Ticking bombs
Ceramics are for life you no need to charge them, only pads

Ordered mine through an online broker on Thursday, paid my deposit direct to the not so local but very efficient, friendly and courteous Audi Main Dealer yesterday and they confirmed my factory order number this morning and that free, covered transporter delivery or collection (my choice) will be March. Having decided to replace my C7, it wasn't an easy call and I feel a little sad to change it really, kind of hard to justify in a way. I visited two dealers last Saturday, Farnborough who are my nearest home / service dealer and unsurprisingly they were absolutely useless, half a dozen suits ambling about in their lovely new office inside their lovely new steel and glass temple and not a soul wants to venture out and help. Given the millions they must have spent on the new state of the art building, I am surprised that someone from Lookers hasn't done a mystery shopper on them and fired everyone. I next went to Guildford and they have clearly been to the same Audi customer service training camp.
Ordered my RS6 from Guildford and my C7, always had excellent service.

I ordered last month and have a late April delivery, not sure how accurate a March date is if you’ve only just ordered ?

How on earth did you work that out!?!!

Friend is about to replace his on his Performante and you can imagine the cost of that.

Dust caps were £400!
Well it depends how you treat a car, mine has 113.000 km on a clock, no signs of any tear or wear on ceramics

Has anyone had a progress update on their build?

When I ordered my C7 perf, there was a website that allowed you to track the different stages of the build, I assume this is no longer available

Cheers

Mine is in production this week but the dealer doesn’t expect it to arrive before the end of the month.

They have their launch car but don’t expect any other cars to arrive before Feb. Personally I wasn’t expecting it quite so quickly as I was thinking it would come around March time for the new reg.

Anyone got dates ?

Spoke to my dealer today - Confirmed production w/c 13th Jan. Delivery to dealer either w/c 10th or w/c 17th Feb.

They have their launch spec car, same as the others people have mentioned. Nardo with spec in between Carbon black and Vorsprung. Labelled 'launch edition'. Going to see it Saturday afternoon.

I'm having mine taken from the dealer to a local PPF fitter, totally unwrapped or played with by Audi, and it should take then 4-5 days to cover the car and coat / protect it. May take a little longer as they currently don't have any templates for the new RS6 yet.

Possible collection 28th Feb if it comes in w/c 17th to dealer or a week earlier.....lets see

Seems you guys managed to get really early build slots, I think my car was the second order at the dealer and I’m out in week 15\16, I wonder if the build certain spec and colour combinations in batches ?

Good thinking with the PPF, be interesting to see how long before the kits come out?

PPF fitter said its all down to when Xpel can get hold of a physical car to template it and load the kits into the system. They are hoping it will be soon.

However my dealer has also offered for the PPF fitting company to come to the showroom, template the launch edition one ahead of mine arriving if that helps them. Im leaving them to talk to each other as to what is best as they are only a short distance from each other.

Went and saw the launch car at Poole Audi today. The car has a lovely presence, very wide and squat and IMO the lines of the car looked great to me. Front lights look really aggressive and the opening and closing sequence with the light display is really nice too.

Excuse the poor photos but well worth getting down to your dealer for a proper look

Nice.

My dealer is still trying to get the black wheels on my Vorsprung order (week 8 build).

I am hoping there is some expectation management going in there 😂

I was told by a local dealer that no test drive until 26/1, then somebody popped up on here to say that they had driven a car last weekend. I also read that launch cars won't be for sale anytime soon, only to get a call from a dealer I have used in the past, offering me their unregistered launch car for immediate delivery with the big hint that a deal is on the table. It strikes me that either there's a lot of bull on the forums or Audi are sending out some very mixed messages.
