First question, I’m aware of the ‘cost down’ changes Audi have been sneaking in of late…. As has already been mentioned, no wireless charging tray, no lock car button on tailgate, and no wave your foot under the bumper to open / close tailgate - to be honest, never really used this on my S6. But the biggest shocker, no ‘convenience key’ ie no keyless open / lock from handle sensors!!

Now I know some people don’t like this, and is a bloody easy way for Audi to stop key cloning??!! I actually liked the feature on my S6, and I’m a bit pissed off I wasn’t made aware of it’s removal, assuming I haven’t missed an MMI option to enable / disable.

Oh and the keys now look really cheap - my S6 ones were nice gloss black, new ones are bare black plastic.

eng33 looks good. There is definitely a cost down thing. I’m not fussed about comfort access, I turned it off on my last RS6. Bizarrely my dad has just picked up his Q2 and that doesn’t have it, I wonder if they are just doing away with it?
I don’t think the RS6’s ever came with the foot swipe thing, none of mine have? I’d also heard that Audi had been having issues with wireless charging. All I but annoying, but all forgotten about when you drive it😎

Although I’m a previous C7 RS6 PE owner, I’ve been a bit of an imposter lurking on here for a while now, as I had a ‘22 S6, yes the black pump user! Today that all changed….

Have been aiming for a C8 RS6 for a while now, and when I heard about the Performance I knew I had to have one. I’d planned placing a factory order within the next few weeks, but was being quoted 5-6 months for a Vorsprung in Daytona Grey, not unreasonable I guess. But then spotted online there were quite a few brand new unregistered cars in stock at dealers. So after a bit of negotiation and some compromise (really wanted Express Red interior and grey wheels, but had to settle on grey stitching and black wheels) I collected my dream car today! Norwich to Carlisle drive wasn’t just round the corner though!

Car does have matt carbon (my preference) and Pirelli tyres - they swapped out the Hankooks off another car!
Car looks sensational, congratulations man !.. was that the one that was photographed in a park.. was drooling over some RS6s last week and noticed this one..

Yeah as you say I bet they’re doing away with it to stop key cloning. Re foot swipe thing, maybe not for RS6’s, but both my ‘21 C8 Allroad and C8 S6 had the feature.
Also not bothered about wireless phone charging either as all it did in my Allroad was cook my iPhone!

Thanks! Not sure, Carlisle Audi had 4 brand new unregistered Performace Vorsprung’s in stock! Two were identical spec Daytona grey cars - I had one of these. Stafford Audi (same group) had 2 or 3 as well.

Where did you see there is no convenience key anymore?

The fact that the car doesn’t allow keyless lock / unlock unlock via door handle sensors. Plus there’s no option in the MMI to enable / disable it.

Definitely no convenience key, I’ve been through the MMI, where it used to be and it’s not there, no great loss IMHO

About Audi UK removing stuff from the rs6 such as the convenience key, wireless charger, etc… I can not accept this and say “it’s fine, I don’t use anyway,….”. If we accept anything less than what we deserve in a such expensive car then what will be next? Head-up display? Sunroof? Maybe even Air Con in the future? And then will say it is fine?? No, we deserve way better than this. WIll definitely complain with my dealer. Will demand a compensation. This is not correct!

I guess the challenge is, where does it say in the spec you have a wireless charger, comfort access ? My biggest grip is the tyres

Indeed, that’s what I come back to, even the convenience key thing isn’t stated, my spec just says keyless go which I missed, very annoying.
The specs I’ve seen even have all three tyre options listed, my gripe here is the Conti tyre was specifically stated as being a big part of the Performance upgrade package.

It doesn’t say anymore because they removed it. Check previous specs and they were all there.
What will be removed next?

Not wanting to be on any particularly side of this but Having look through my documentation I can find no mention of, comfort access, wireless charging or tyres?
