Not a new question I suppose. Anyone compared the two in real life ? Is the flagship worth the extra ?
My £40k budget would bag a 2017/18 RS or 2019 S5 ( or I could spend less than £30k on an earlier S5.
I cover less than 8k miles annually now following retirement, with less motorway driving. Just looking for a bit of fun ( current B8 S4 owner with MRC Tuning). Love the TTS but it is a bit cosy for my 6’3” and 100kg

You can get the v8 manual is S guise, but RS is auto only if that makes a difference..

Only looking for the post ‘17 V6 cars . . .

Going to see an RS5 tomorrow, so just genning up, but it’s a bit of a minefield understanding what servicing and maintenance is required.
Car is on 40k miles (2018).
What should have been done by now and what’s coming ! It has FASH.
Plugs, filters, transmission etc ?
Looks like these are quite a step up from an S5 - tyres at over £300 a corner ( ouch!), brakes into four figures ?
Anything I need to check in particular ?
